Last week, Code Red Associates visited Nottinghamshire YMCA to donate IT tablets for their digital inclusion agenda as part of their Building Better Opportunities programme.

A registered charity with offices in 119 countries, reaching over 58 millions people every year,YMCA’s passions are youth development, healthy living and social responsibility with the Housing teams working to support homeless people into accommodation, providing access to courses & training and independent living. As a smaller and less visible supplier of Social Housing, they’re often overlooked for funding in their ongoing efforts safeguarding vulnerable adults, children & young people, particularly at this time of year where issues attributable to homelessness are more prevalent.

Being specialists within the Not-for-Profit & Social Housing markets, Code Red Associates understands the increasing pressures facing UK-wide housing providers in turning to IT & Digital Inclusion in order to better engage with tenants and creating programmes in order to drive change. However, like YMCA, nearly a third of all social housing providers are registered charities and donations can be a huge help in order to achieve these goals so Code Red were delighted to be able to make a small donation.

A big thanks to Nick Clements and Andrea Shea for their generous hospitality & anyone wishing to help them in their efforts should visit
